                Rock Creek Restaurant came to Twin Falls in 1978. Before taking over Rock Creek, the owners Terry Hancock and I previously managed the “world famous” Pioneer Saloon in Ketchum, Idaho. At The Pioneer, we learned the steakhouse trade; where to find and buy the best prime graded beef available, how to age that beef, and how to cut the beef into thick, closely trimmed, delicious steaks.

We also learned other products that are the best buy for our menu. For example, we discovered that instead of buying plain shrimp or scallops, we only choose Mexican white shrimp and New England Jumbo scallops. We also found the best way to prepare our menu such as roasting Prime Ribs of beef on the bone so they will be at their most tender and flavorful.

                Over the years, we have seasoned our menu with the highest quality of  fresh seafood i.e. fresh oysters, clams, and mussels and also local favorites such as fresh rainbow trout, smoked trout, buffalo steaks (as available), local lamb chops, and real Basque chorizo.

                Just as important as the meal itself, wine has played a pivotal role in our restaurant's dining experience. We have continually upgraded and expanded our wine list and our efforts have lead to nine “Awards of Excellence” from Wine Spectator magazine.
We now feature 125 wines on our list and 41 of those wines are currently rated 90 points or better.
